    While the skies above England and the English Chan While the skies above England and the English Channel were filled with the sounds of aircraft of the RAF and the Luftwaffe battling for air supremacy, Winston Churchill was delivering one of his most important speeches during WW2 on this day in 1940. In it he famously says; “Never in the field of Human conflict have so many owed so much to so few”. In the “Few” he of course refers to the Allied airmen who took to the skies during the 112-day conflict we all know as the Battle of Britain.
